What is Fireweed and how it relates to the Seasons

What is Fireweed and how does it work with the Seasons?

Fireweed is a perennial plant that grows in Subarctic/Alpine climates. The plant's growth is closely in tune with the seasonal calander. The plant gets its name as it is the first thing to grow back after a forest fire. Fireweed starts off as a sprout in the spring then progressively grows into a tall stalk that opens up beautiful flowers which peak with the salmon season. In the fall, the flower shrivels up after releasing its seeds and lays dormant for the winter.
